I've stored all my artwork because DA is no longer ethical. Please support artists by using another ethical art site. As of writing this, DA now encourages the usage of AI art, monetizes AI art generation, and lie about their AI generator DreamUp being ethical (it's based on Stable Diffusion, which has already scraped the entire website's artwork and trained on it.) Their move to "protect" artists with their opt-out feature does nothing to prevent art being stolen, since AI generators can be programmed to ignore these protections.

That's really interesting that a surge came after you left O.O Maybe people on twitter cross followed you on DA? Or DA algorithm mysteries? But fantastic news either way!! I really hope you get lots of support and recognition in general so you can thrive with your art endeavors!! It certainly seems very difficult to make a living out of art x.X
I feel DA certainly has it's charm that no other places seem to have, despite eclipse being problematic (not that I am a social media expert, but that's the vibe I get from seeing everyone talking). I'm pretty sure a part of it is people who not only speak up, but also sincerely reach out to create community, like what you're doing!
Knowing me I can't make any promises for how active I will be, but I know I will look out for you and your art and support whenever I don't feel spread too thin orz I wish I had multiple me's sometimes XD
